Kings Chambers’ commercial practice encompasses advocacy and advisory work across a broad range of commercial areas. In addition to the more common areas for dispute, more specialist areas covered include commercial fraud, financial services, insurance and reinsurance, international law, telecommunications, media and commercial judicial review.
The team has seen a significant increase in disputes arising out of breach of directors’ duties, shareholder disputes, unfair prejudice petitions and fraud. The team also has a specialist interest in the protection of confidential information and injunctive relief aimed at protecting trade secrets and other protected interests.
Our barristers regularly appear in wide range of courts and tribunals (in England and Wales as well as outside the jurisdiction) and act for corporations, individuals, regulatory bodies and governments. See also Kings Arbitration Group.
Chambers’ work has a very strong international flavour; not only do our barristers regularly appear in overseas jurisdictions but many cases involve foreign clients and foreign law. Some of our barristers have been called to the Bar in the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Singapore and the Republic of Ireland.
