Andrew practices almost exclusively in the field of construction and associated professional negligence actions and appears regularly in the Technology & Construction Court and as Counsel in construction-related arbitrations as well as appointments as arbitrator. Andrew enjoys a sizeable construction and technology practice with work derived throughout England, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland.
Andrew has also gained wide experience in the provision of procurement advice. His recent reported cases include, OD v Oak Dry, NIHE v Dixons, Amey v Cumbria CC, NIHE v HBL.
His practice also includes Judicial Review challenges largely in the commercial/construction context.
Andrew is an accredited mediator with the ADR Group. He is also an arbitrator and adjudicator and is listed on the TECBAR ADR panels. He also sits as a part-time Judge in the TCC and is a County Court Recorder.
As well as acting as counsel in arbitrations and adjudications in England and foreign jurisdictions, Andrew accepts appointments as adjudicator and arbitrator and is a TECBAR panel member.

Andrew is an ADR accredited mediator and regularly acts as a mediator in commercial disputes and particularly high value and complex disputes (domestic and international) relating to construction, developments, engineering and technology. Andrew is recognised and acknowledged for his knowledge of understanding of industry challenges and his clarity and focus on problem-solving. His experience as mediator includes disputes relating to banking and insurance in addition to construction and technology issues.
Andrew acts regularly for and against construction professionals in a full range of construction and engineering related disputes in litigation and arbitration.
In 2020 he appeared as leading counsel for the Claimant in OD Developments and Projects Ltd v Oak Dry [2020] EWHC 2854 (TCC) and acted for the Defendant in QMAC Construction v Northern Ireland Housing Executive [2020] NIQB 45
In 2019 he appeared as leading counsel in Northern Ireland Housing Executive v Dixons Contractors [2019] NIQB 19.
In 2016 Andrew was first junior Counsel in Amey v Cumbria [2016] EWHC TCC 2856 and 2946, the main trial ran for over 40 days in the Manchester TCC and he appeared in the Court of Appeal in Graham Leslie v Farrer Construction Limited [2016 } EWCA Civ 1041.
