In light of the Court of Appeal’s grant of permission to appeal the decision of Lavender J in Belsner v CAM Legal Services [2020] EWHC 2755 (QB), costs specialists Kevin Latham and Erica Bedford will address the current state of the law surrounding Solicitor/Own Client costs assessments, the potential problems that the decision gives rise to, and how those issues might be addressed by the Court of Appeal in the near future.
