The Government of Guernsey has appointed Thomas Williams as a Chair of the Employment and Discrimination Tribunal.
The appointment is for 3 years, from 1 January 2025. The Tribunal determines various types of employment disputes, such as unfair dismissal, wage claims, breach of contract, redundancy issues, and disputes over working conditions, and cases involving discrimination based on race, gender, disability, religion, sexual orientation, and other protected characteristics. As a Chair, Thomas will preside over hearings and be responsible for drafting the written judgment containing the Tribunal’s decision.
