Kings Chambers is delighted to support The Dame Frances Patterson Human Rights Mooting Competition for the second successive year which took place today at Leicester Law School.

We established and sponsor this event to celebrate the contribution to the law of our former Head of Chambers, Dame Frances Patterson who sadly passed away in 2016. Dame Frances was a graduate of Leicester University, previous Head of Chambers and founding member of the Public Law team in Chambers.

The competition was judged by Sam Karim QC, our Director of Pupillage Training and now Head of Public Law. The standard of advocacy displayed by the finalists, who had to argue points of law in relation to human rights was extremely high, showing skills beyond their years. Congratulations to the winner Celine Two & Sakina Rehman and runner up Alexander Zivkovic and Iva Filipovic.
