Mark Harper QC is instructed in a High Court action in which the Head of the Commercial Court, Mrs Justice Cockerill, is sitting in Birmingham to hear the three week trial where the claim was issued in Commercial Court in London. It is a very welcome indication of how the High Court will place significant emphasis on a circumstance where the “centre of gravity” lies in a particular region and further demonstrates the Courts commitment to the regions.
