John Barrett, acting for Gladman Developments Limited, has secured planning permission on appeal for up to 99 houses on a greenfield site on the edge of Weston village in Cheshire East District. Inspector Jennifer Vyse allowed the appeal that the Council had resisted on the basis of the scale of the development, harm the function of the village, contrary to the settlement hierarchy and harm to the character and beauty of the countryside.
