Satinder Hunjan QC instructed by Barrington Atkins of Stewarts Solicitors has successfully secured a settlement on behalf of ex-professional football player Matthew Fryatt against his former football club Nottingham Forrest FC. The crux of the claim involved allegations of pressure being placed on the player to play in matches despite an injury to his Achilles tendon which was not being properly treated. The case highlights concerns for the welfare and health of professional football players and elite athletes.

Matthew Fryatt has recently conducted a media interview in respect of the legal action which can be found here: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-9313937/Matty-Fryatt-reveals-took-Nottingham-Forest-court-Achilles-injury.html
