Planning Barristers Sarah Reid and Constanze Bell have been named in The Planner’s Women of Influence List for 2019.

The Planner says that its Women of Influence List is its annual publication of “the most influential women in and around Planning” as nominated by its readers and selected by its independent panel, and is “representative of the women whose dynamism, creativity, effectiveness and achievement has most affected the planning profession”. Sarah and Constanze are two of only five Barristers nationally that have been selected as Women of Influence.

Sarah has been recognised for her “outstanding advice”, experience, professionalism, and the support that she gives to clients in Planning Inquiries. One citation notes that Sarah is:

“Easily one of the best barristers I have worked with in my 20 years as a Planner”.

Sarah is also recognised for her work as an active member of Women in Planning (North West), which she has been involved in since its inception, and through which she has been an advocate for equality and diversity across the planning professions and the Bar.

Constanze is also included in the list as a result of her strong practice, and, in particular, is noted for the encouragement and support that she provides in enabling others to achieve their potential. She is also recognised as being instrumental in founding Women in Planning (Yorkshire), for her work in representing the interests of Junior Barristers, and for inspiring young women to consider a career at the Bar.
