Sam Karim KC represents DEFRA in Module 1 in the COVID Inquiry, which commences today. DEFRA is a Core Participant. He leads Suzanne Lambert of 1 Crown Office Row and Jennifer Grey of 2 Temple Gardens. Ifsa Mahmood and Shemuel Sheikh have also been involved as junior juniors.
Module 1 of the Inquiry is to consider preparedness for a pandemic, resilience, planning and preparedness across the UK. The module will also look at the UK’s preparedness for “whole-system civil emergencies, including resourcing, the system of risk management and pandemic readiness.”
