Practical Highways Issues Update - Birmingham
This seminar will provide a comprehensive and practical discussion of a number of the most frequent issues that arise in relation to highways, together with an update on relevant case law relating to those matters. It will be useful to landowners, developers, local highway authorities and all those involved in highway law and it's practice. It shall cover in particular the creation and existence of highways, the physical extent of a highway, the extinguishment of highways and the adoption of highways, together with practical examples of issues and problems which may arise in each of those areas and how to avoid or address them.
The seminar will be chaired by Ruth Stockley of Kings Chambers who is widely regarded as one of the UK's leading authorities on highways. She is the General Editor of the Highway Law and Practice Encyclopedia which she has edited for over 25 years, and is to become the co-author of Sauvain on Highway Law.
Ruth will be joined by speakers Sarah Reid and Piers Riley-Smith who are both barristers at Kings Chambers practising in highway law and who have particular experience in dealing with practical problems that can arise in this field.
