Marketing and Event Assistant Manchester (Full time)

FTC 12 Months – possibility of permanent

Start date: Mid May 2024

JOB SUMMARY:

The Marketing and Event Assistant will have a varied role engaging in a mix of marketing activities. They will work closely with the Marketing Manager and our external support agencies and other suppliers.

The successful candidate will provide support for Chambers’ busy schedule of events, which includes seminars, conferences and social events, alongside other marketing activities. This is an ideal role for a graduate with some practical marketing or event experience who wants to develop a career in marketing and events.

  1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

1.1         Website and Email Marketing

1.1.1     Publish and edit news articles, barrister profiles and other content on Chambers’ website using a content management system (WordPress)

1.1.2     Use a web-based email marketing system to send seminar announcements to clients and subscribers.

 

1.2         Seminars and Event Management

1.2.1     Co-ordinating speaker diaries and liaise with speakers in preparing for seminars. This may occasionally include external speakers.

1.2.2     Venue management on the day, including room set-up & layout, catering, any required AV or other equipment, name badges for speakers and delegates, any Chambers branded promotional material etc.

1.2.3     Assist with creating invitations within the marketing function of Chambers case management system for all marketing campaigns.

1.2.4     Work with the relevant Clerks to prepare delegate lists in the marketing campaign.

1.2.5     Updating Chambers website with events.

1.2.6     Capture and report on delegate feedback.

 

1.3         Digital Marketing

1.3.1     Post news and events on Chambers’ Twitter feed and LinkedIn.

1.3.2     consider other items of interest which may be more suited to our social media channels than main news channel.

1.3.3     Advise members on how to best utilise their social media accounts.

 

1.3         Legal Directories & Awards

1.3.1     Assist with the collation of information for Chambers submissions to the legal directories including Chambers UK and the Legal 500.

1.3.2     Assist with the collation of information for ad hoc submissions for various Legal awards
