Join Andrew Singer KC and Jonathan Ward in a Kings Chambers Construction team webinar to discuss the very recent decision of the UK Supreme Court in Providence Building Services Limited (Respondent) v Hexagon Housing Association Limited (Appellant) [2026] UKSC 1, where the Supreme Court reversed the Court of Appeal and ruled that a contractor’s purported contractual termination was not valid. In its decision, the court identified the proper construction of clauses 8.9.3 and 8.9.4 of the JCT 2016 Design and Build Form, which will also apply to a number of the other standard JCT forms. It is therefore a decision of great importance to the construction industry and its professional advisers.
