Ofcom has just launched an investigation into whether the way the Premier League sells £3 billion of TV rights in the UK is anti-competitive.  The inquiry follows the lodging of a complaint by Virgin Media which argues that the Premier League makes comparatively fewer live matches available for broadcast in the UK than some rival European leagues do in their markets.

Adam Aldred, who specialises in EU & Competition law, and who has recently joined Kings Chambers has been advising various football clubs and football and other sporting leagues on this issue for over a decade, including making representations to regulators in Brussels and London.  He is ideally suited and well placed to support any party who would like to express their views and protect their interests.
