The members, clerks and staff of Kings Chambers are delighted to support the ‘Wood Street Mission Easter Project’ in donating Easter eggs and non-perishable food to make up food hampers. The charity aims to provide each child up to the age of 16 with chocolate eggs. They also provide families with a large food hamper full of both everyday food items and a few extra luxuries to help them over the extended school holidays which can be a stressful time for many parents who may struggle with the extra costs of providing meals for their children who would normally receive free meals at school. Last year the mission received some 6,000 Easter eggs and was able to support some 2,200 families in poverty with food hampers.
The mission co-ordinates many projects throughout the year. For further information about the Wood Street Mission and the good work that they do please click here.
