Kings Chambers is delighted to announce that applications are now open for our Mini Pupillage Programme, scheduled for the 19th and 20th June 2025.

As a leading Chambers spanning three cities with a national reputation, this event promises a unique opportunity for aspiring barristers to engage with some of the country’s most respected legal professionals.

This two-day programme, limited to just 25 places, provides selected mini-pupils with the opportunity to engage with our members, gain hands-on experience through advocacy and other exercises, and explore the diverse areas of expertise within chambers.

During the event, participants will hear from both junior and senior members of chambers, who will share their experiences and discuss their specialist areas of practice. Senior clerks will provide an insider’s perspective on the operational side of chambers, and a senior judge will offer insights into the Bar from the bench’s vantage point.

Who Should Apply?

The Mini Pupillage Programme is open to:

  • Students in the second year of their law degree
  • Students in the third year of a non-law degree or above
  • Graduates, particularly those who have pursued a different career path before considering the Bar

We encourage applications from individuals of all backgrounds, as we firmly believe that the Bar thrives on diversity. While the programme is not part of our formal selection process for pupillage, we welcome applications from those who are considering applying for pupillage at Kings Chambers in the future.

Supporting Accessibility and Diversity

Kings Chambers is committed to promoting equality and removing barriers to accessing the legal profession. To ensure the programme is equitable and inclusive, we offer a mini-pupillage award of £200 to all successful applicants. Breakfast and lunch are provided throughout the event, and for those travelling long distances, we may also arrange accommodation and reimburse exceptional travel costs.
