Simon Burrows and Francesca P. Gardner join DAC Beacroft’s Cheryl Rowbotham and Paul McGough for ‘Mental Health and Capacity Update 2017’ at DAC Beachroft’s offices in Manchester on the 6th of July.

The Mental Health Act (MHA), Mental Capacity Act (MCA) and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DOLS) continue to pose considerable challenges for lawyers and practitioners working in the health and social setting. The impact of decisions coming from the Courts is wide-reaching and is creating an ever evolving and complex legal landscape. We also have the final recommendations from the Law Commission regarding DOLS reform, which require consideration.

You are invited to join us on Thursday 6 July at our Manchester office for a session with specialist MHA and MCA lawyers from DAC Beachcroft and Kings Chambers. Throughout the afternoon we aim to navigate through some of the most recent developments in these complex areas and consider the practical impact for professionals in the health, social care and legal spheres. It will also provide each delegate with a unique platform to meet, network and discuss those challenges and share best practice from a variety of perspectives with each other and with our expert legal advisers.

Delegates are invited to submit in advance any specific issues for discussion during the Q&A panel session.

Mental health and capacity events hosted by DAC Beachcroft nationally have been a great success with high demand for places. Please RSVP early to secure your place.

This session is free of charge. Refreshments will be provided.
