Chambers offers its warm congratulations to Louis Doyle KC upon confirmation by the outgoing Chancellor, Sir Julian Flaux, of Louis’s appointment to the Insolvency and Companies Court Users’ Committee. The Committee, soon to be under the chairmanship of Birss LJ, the incoming Chancellor, meets quarterly and at need in London and, as its name suggests, has, amongst other things, responsibility for the identification and resolution of issues across the business of the Insolvency and Companies Court. Louis has specific responsibility for liaising with ICC users from the Bar across the country. Like his role on R3’s Technical Committee, this new appointment will keep Louis alive to developments as they happen at the sharp end of ICC practice.
