Lesley Anderson QC and Ben Harding speak at the Chancery Bar Association Conference
Lesley and Ben were invited by the Chancery Bar Association to sit on a discussion panel at the Association’s national winter conference in London on 18 January 2020, on the topic of ‘the Disclosure Pilot – one year on’.
The Disclosure Pilot was launched in the Business and Property Courts with effect from 1 January 2019 for a period of two years. The purpose of the panel discussion was to share views on whether the Pilot has worked so far, and what ‘success’ might look like. Lesley has spoken widely about the Pilot, and chaired the discussion. Chief Master Marsh (of the Chancery Division), Ed Crosse (of Simmons & Simmons) and Ben offered their thoughts on the Pilot from the perspectives of Bench, Solicitors and Bar, and fielded questions from the floor in what proved to be a lively discussion session.
The Pilot will continue in force for the rest of 2020 and is under ongoing review by Professor Rachel Mulheron at Queen Mary University.
