Kings Chambers is delighted to announce that Adam Aldred, formerly of Addleshaw Goddard has accepted an invitation to join chambers.  Adam specialises in EU and competition law, including cartels, dominance, mergers, market investigations, litigation, trading agreements and compliance.  He is ranked as a leader in his field and has litigated as an advocate in a significant number of cases both in court and before the Competition Appeal Tribunal and the European Commission prior to joining the Bar. For many years, Adam has been ranked by Legal 500 as ‘the’ leading individual in EU and competition law in Yorkshire and is ranked in Band 1 for all regions in Chambers UK.

Colin Griffin, Chief Clerk commented that ” Adam joining chambers is a tremendous coup for Kings and a great testament to our reputation as one of the country’s leading sets.  Adam joining allows us to offer services from a leading practitioner in a new specialist area for chambers.  We are delighted that Adam has chosen Kings.”

Commenting on his joining chambers, Adam said “I am excited to be joining Kings Chambers and becoming the first competition law specialist practising at the regional bar. I am particularly looking forward to making myself available to all solicitors and companies across the regions Kings serves, and not just the select few who are clients of my old firm, Addleshaw Goddard. Now, specialist independent advice on merger control, distribution strategies, dawn raids, investigations, dominance, state aid and competition litigation is now available to all locally, without having to go to London”.
