Biodiversity Net Gain (BNG) Seminar

Prior to the dissolution of Parliament in December 2019, the Environment Bill was introduced. The Bill proposed to establish a legal requirement to increase habitat value by 10% through the development consent procedure. The current Government has shown every intention that it will pursue this objective.

If and when this statutory requirement passes into law it will exert a considerable influence on the planning process.

This event will draw together a range of different experts to discuss what the principle of biodiversity net gain could mean in practice for planning and all stakeholders in the planning system.
