Some of the post-Brexit changes will come into effect through the Environment Bill - this includes biodiversity net gain, conservation covenants and local nature recovery strategies.  In the short video linked below, Philip discusses key clauses of the Bill for planners.  The video and more are available on the Kings Planning YouTube Channel.

UPDATE - A day is a long time in planning and politics! When the podcast and video were recorded on 25 January the Environment Bill was due to be at report stage in the House of Commons the next day. The Government have postponed the Bill until the Spring with Royal Assent later in 2021. The policies and changes discussed in the podcast and video are still on the horizon and will still have far reaching effects on planning, we will just have to wait a little bit longer than expected....
