Third Edition of Patterson & Karim on Judicial Review is Published
Kings Chambers is delighted to announce the publication of the third edition of Judicial Review in Law and Practice, now renamed Patterson & Karim on Judicial Review. This authoritative work is edited by Sam Karim QC and Constanze Bell. Authors from across Kings Chambers’ public law teams contribute their expertise to the updated third edition.
Sam Karim QC commented “The regionalisation of the Administrative Court was the catalyst that led to the first edition of this publication. The vision came from the late Dame Frances Patterson, whose name I wished to be permanently fixed in the title of this publication in recognition of her contribution to the regionalisation of administrative law. I am delighted that we are now in the third edition.”
The third edition of Patterson & Karim on Judicial Review has been updated to provide practitioners with a comprehensive companion to judicial review proceedings. It covers the substantive law of judicial review including grounds of review and remedies and looks in detail at the practice and procedure specific to such claims.
The largest part of the work is dedicated to individual areas of the law where judicial review is relevant, including: planning and environment, procurement, community care, housing, mental health, criminal law, education, licensing, central/local government and immigration law.
