Sarah Reid successfully secures agreement from Fylde Borough Council that they do not have a five year supply, and acheives consent for up to 50 dwellings on behalf of Hollins Strategic Land.

Sarah Reid has successfully represented Hollins Strategic Land on an appeal against the Council’s refusal to grant consent for 50 dwellings in Newton with Scales, Fylde. A week before the hearing, the Council claimed that they had a five- year supply of housing. During the hearing, Sarah negotiated a concession from the Council that they did not, in fact, have a five – year supply. The Inspector found that the agreed shortfall was “serious and significant”, gave limited weight to an emerging policy designating the site as part of an area of separation, and allowed the appeal.
