John Barrett is successful in defending an appeal for a case involving a Listed Building and Conservation Area

John Barrett acted for Sefton Council and successfully defended an appeal made by Centremodel Projects Ltd. The case involved a Listed Building and Conservation Area near Royal Birkdale Golf Course. Planning permission was refused despite an acute shortage of housing land because of the effect of the development on the Listed School building and Conservation area
