Gladman Developments have been assisted in securing consent on appeal by Paul Tucker QC for 128 dwellings outside Witchford, Cambridgeshire. The inquiry was held in March 2015, only days after the local plan inspector reported that East Cambs DC could demonstrate a five year supply. However in a hard fought inquiry more recent housing data was examined and the Council’s delivery was found wanting.
The case clearly demonstrates that consent can be secured on the basis of a lack of housing supply even in the teeth of a very recent Inspector’s report
