Nigel Poole QC is speaking at a debate on Lord Saatchi’s Medical Innovation Bill at King’s College London on 4 March 2015. Professor Sir Michael Rawlins, Chair of the Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency and the Bill’s parliamentary draftsman, Daniel Greenberg, are speaking in favour. Broadcaster and Founding Chair of HealthWatch, Nick Ross and Nigel are opposing the Bill. The debate is chaired by Sir Peter Bazalgette, Chair of the Arts Council. The debate takes place only two days before the Bill’s second reading in the House of Commons and amidst much media attention.
