Vincent Fraser QC has successfully represented E.ON Climate & Renewables UK Development Ltd in obtaining planning permission on appeal for Clachaig Glen Windfarm on the Kintyre Peninsula in Argyll. The wind farm comprises of 14 turbines between 115.5 and 126.5 metres high with a generating capacity of 47.6 megawatts. The main issue concerned the landscape and visual impacts of the proposal on the Kintyre Peninsula, the island of Gigha, the Sound of Gigha and the West Kintyre Peninsula Area of Panoramic Quality.
