Satinder Hunjan QC has successfully represented a Claimant who suffered mal-nutrition following otherwise successful weight loss surgery resulting in catastrophic consequences involving substantial disability and blindness. Following the weight loss surgery, the Claimant’s nutrition was inadequately monitored resulting in the Claimant developing Wernicke’s Encephalopathy
The damages award which was on a lump sum and periodical payments basis resulted in the Claimant receiving an initial sum of £2.8 million together with annual periodical payments of £127,000 for life.
