Jonathan Easton secures planning permission for greenbelt site.
A former pig farm is to be converted into 12 homes in the West Lancashire Green Belt.
Jonathan Easton acted for the Appellant.
The appeal was especially interesting because it addressed NPPF §146(d) concerning the re-use of buildings in the Green Belt, as well as §79(c) NPPF regarding the exception to granting permission for isolated homes in the countryside. It is worth noting that the Inspector appeared to give less prominence to the locational sustainability of the site given that it met the 're-use of redundant buildings' test under §79(c).
