Chambers was delighted to host 22 students during the ‘Mini Pupillage Programme’. The successful candidates were selected from 200 hopeful applicants. Most were second year undergraduate, but some were post-graduate and also those changing career. The 2.5 day programme included exposure to a wide variety of barristers, an insight into the main practice areas at Kings Chambers, court visits, advocacy and the opportunity to hear what life is like as a pupil and junior barrister at chambers.
Feedback from 2016 attendees:
“The advocacy exercise was very stimulating and exciting”
“Fantastic few days”
“Incredibly informative”
“Preferred It to the standard one – on – one shadowing”
“Definitely encouraged me to continue to pursue a career at the bar”
“Exposed to areas of law I hadn’t previously considered”
Applications for the 2017 programme will open in November 2016.
