Kings Chambers is delighted to announce Helen Gardiner has joined the Business and Property team from St Philips Chambers.

Helen accepts instructions in all aspects of commercial and employment law.  She is experienced in trial and tribunal advocacy in the County Court, High Court and Employment Tribunals.

Helen is regularly instructed in high-value commercial matters, particularly breach of warranty claims and matters of banking and securities.  She also regularly acts in equine cases, particularly involving title to horses, purchase and sale disputes, and veterinary negligence.

Her significant experience of employment law means she is particularly well-placed to act and advise in cases where there is a crossover between commercial and employment law, such as cases involving company insolvency and the transfer of undertakings. She has substantial expertise in restraint of trade and directors’ duties and is also regularly instructed in all areas of employment law, particularly discrimination and whistle blowing.

Lesley Anderson QC, Head of the Business & Property Group at Kings Chambers said: “We are delighted that Helen is joining Kings Chambers and believe that her practice will flourish here”.

Helen also receives regular instructions in cases concerning the Mobile Homes Act 1983 and related matters, appearing in tribunal on behalf of both site owners and residents.

Helen will be clerked by Leeds Senior Clerk, Louise Barnes.
