A team from Kings Chambers has proudly completed the SIA Overseas Cycle Challenge 2025, cycling an impressive 326 km from Venice to Bologna in aid of the Spinal Injuries Association (SIA).
Lois Norris (Personal Injury Barrister), along with clerks Steve Loxton, Gary Smith, and Jess Walsh, took part in the three-day challenge alongside over 40 other riders, including participants living with spinal cord injuries. In the time it took the team to complete the ride, 36 people in the UK will have sustained a spinal cord injury. This powerful statistic underscores the need for the SIA’s ongoing support, which provides vital, lifelong services for those affected.
The Kings Chambers team has now raised over £9,000, including Gift Aid – surpassing their original fundraising target of £7,500. The funds raised will go directly toward helping individuals and families rebuild their lives following a spinal cord injury.
At the closing evening’s Ride Awards, both Lois and Jess received commendations from the organisers for their standout performances, recognising their positivity, determination, and outstanding contributions to the team and the wider event.
We are extremely proud of the team’s achievement and grateful to everyone who donated, supported, and followed their journey along the way.
