Kings Chambers helped raise £6,685 for a local charity during its annual golf day at Mottram Hall in Cheshire. The Diane Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF) provides opportunities for young people from disadvantaged areas in the region to participate in sport. It works with able-bodied and disabled young people, bringing in top coaches and mentors to help them achieve their potential. On the day, Steven Abbott Associates LLP won the team challenge and Hedley Manton won the individual competition. Sponsors included Blue Coffee Networks, CLB Coopers, Frenkel Topping, Oyez and RMS PR.
Colin Griffin, Chief Clerk at Kings Chambers, said:
“We’re delighted to support the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation for the second year running and we’re proud of our team, clients and sponsors who have helped to foster aspiration and help young local people succeed by opening up opportunities through sport.â€

“I’d like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone involved in the Kings Chambers charity golf day for DMSF. The turnout was fantastic and the golf even better! Everyone involved had a wonderful time and the funds raised are superb. The monies donated will enable our charity to work with more schools, community groups and young people across Greater Manchester. We provide an opportunity for them to raise their aspirations and fulfil their potential in sport, school and life. We appreciate all the support and generous contributions from everyone involved.â€
DMSF was founded in 2010 by Manchester-based Diane Modahl, one of Britain’s most successful 800m runners.
