Members and Staff at Kings Chambers have helped to make sure that hundreds of children and families across Greater Manchester get a boost this Christmas by donating funds and gifts to Wood Street Mission’s Christmas Appeal.

The appeal asks for donations of new gifts, toys and treats such as selection boxes and advent calendars for children of low-income families, whom the Mission supports, so that these children can wake up on Christmas morning and feel like any other child who has had a visit from Santa.

Kings Chambers received £3,300 from members and staff to buy a selection of presents for children, as well as an array of gifts being brought in by those who preferred to purchase their own gifts for the children.  These were collected by Wood Street Mission volunteers this week, so that parents can visit the Mission and select presents for their children.

The Mission, established in 1869, supports children and families on a low income in Manchester and Salford.  The Christmas Appeal is one of its flagship fundraising initiatives and Chambers is proud to have supported the Appeal for six years.
