Michael Bowsher QC is described by Chambers and Partners as an “Experienced silk with a widely admired procurement and construction practiceâ€. He is particularly known for his unique practice in regulated procurement in the UK, Ireland and elsewhere in the EU and beyond. He has appeared as counsel in many of the major procurement cases over more than a decade. Michael also specialises in competition law and worked with Adam Aldred when acting for the claimant in the 2-Travel v Cardiff Bus follow-on damages claim in the Competition Appeal Tribunal in which the claimant recovered exemplary damages. Michael has been called to the bar and practises actively in Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland as well as England and Wales. He is regularly appointed as a mediator or arbitrator in disputes concerning investments or long–term contracts involving the public sector or utility sectors.
Michael remains a full member of Monckton Chambers in London and will continue to practise from there as well.
