Lesley Anderson QC, Mark Harper QC and Matthew Hall teamed up with MannBenham Advocates to deliver a well received seminar to over 120 delegates in Douglas, Isle of Man on 13 June 2019 on “Know The Rules: Fiduciary Responsibilities of Directors and Trustees”.

Lesley, Mark and Matthew covered fiduciary duties from 3 angles; ad-hoc duties arising under commercial arrangements, duties owed by directors and duties owed by trustees under express trusts respectively.

MannBenham Advocates is an incorporated legal practice offering specialist services to banks, trusts and corporate service providers both on the Isle of Man and internationally.  Paul Beckett from the firm spoke on the newly recognised Manx principle of corporate-trust fusion, whilst Carly Stratton and Miles Benham outlined the island’s regulatory framework.  The seminar was also privileged to hear from Paul De Weerd from the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority who were also in attendance.

The event underlines the commitment of the Kings Chambers Business & Property Group to making its members’ expertise available in partnership with other commercial providers, particularly having regard to its increasing involvement in offshore trusts and corporate issues.
