Paul Tucker QC of Kings teamed up with Max Plotnek of Maddox Associates and Chris Miele of Montague Evans to secure permission on appeal for Bmor Ltd for a block to 34 apartments in one of the most sensitive locations in West London. The double site on Fulham Palace Road sits within a conservation area and adjacent to the listed building of Brandenburg House and its redevelopment was strongly opposed by Hammersmith and Fulham Council. However in an appeal allowed on 4th September by Mme Inspector Mahoney, the Council’s arguments were robustly rejected and the Inspector concluded that the design would result in an improvement to both the setting of the listed building and the conservation area and would comprise high quality development. Paul Tucker observed: “This site has been in need of intervention since a road widening scheme at the start of the twentieth century left the end of a terrace with an exposed wall, sitting behind hoardings. It is humbling to have been involved in a project that finally brings that positive intervention over a century later. Bmor are to be congratulated for steadfastly pursuing this extremely worthy project”
