John Barrett acted as the advocate for Gladman Developments Limited in securing consent for 85 houses on greenfield land adjacent to the village of Blean near Canterbury in a s.78 appeal. The case had a number of complex features, including establishing the lack of 5 YS, flooding issues and the promotion of land for development adjacent to a Special Landscape Area.
