International Women’s Day 2026 #GivetoGain

This International Women’s Day, we are proud to celebrate the women of Kings Chambers and the contribution they make each day across every part of chambers.

From our members to our employed team, everyone plays a vital role in creating an environment where women can thrive, develop and succeed. We are proud that women represent:
• 29% of our silks
• 34% of our juniors
• 72% of our pupils – (avg. past 3 years)
• 52% of our employed team

These figures reflect our continued commitment to building a supportive and inclusive culture where talent can flourish.

Over the past decade, figures from the Bar Standards Board (BSB) have shown a gradual rise in the proportion of barristers who are women, alongside an increase in the number of female KCs. These trends are undoubtedly positive, and reflect the collective effort across the profession to create a more diverse and representative Bar.

However, while progress is being made, we recognise there are still barriers for women and that continued work in equality, diversity and inclusion is essential. Ensuring equal opportunities, improving representation at senior levels and continuing to support women throughout their careers, must remain a priority for the profession.

At Kings Chambers, we are committed to playing our part in driving positive change. By supporting each other, sharing opportunities and championing the achievements of women across chambers, we can help create a profession where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.
