Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury specialist Helen Mulholland was one of seven amateur dancers that participated in JMW Solicitors’ Glitter Ball; a charity black tie event with a “Strictly Come Dancing” theme, pairing amateurs with expert dancers to produce a dance routine for dinner guests to watch, with prizes being awarded for the best dancing couple and for the audience.

The event took place at the Hilton Manchester Deansgate on 15th November to a room of 300 guests and contacts.  Following a fantastic performance a panel of judges awarded Helen, and her expert dance partner, Andrew Stone, a partner in JMW Solicitors’ Real Estate Commercial team, the prize for best dance of the evening.

Judges comprised JMW’s senior partner, Joy Kingsley, CEO of the Child Brain Injury Trust, Lisa Turan and expert dancer Hannah Lonsdale, who awarded Helen and Andrew 29 points out of a possible 30.

The event was held in aid of two brain injury charities; the Child Brain Injury Trust and Headway Preston and Chorley, who will benefit from the funds raised from the event to support children and adults who have sustained brain injuries, and their families, within the North West.

Helen said: “It has been a remarkable experience. The training was tough, but I thoroughly enjoyed the performance – the atmosphere in the room was electrifying. I’m so grateful to all those who turned out to raise money for these two wonderful charities. And particular thanks to my very talented (and very patient!) dance partner, Andrew Stone.”
