JMW Solicitors hosted a celebrity-studded black tie gala dinner with a twist, in aid of Headway Preston and Chorley on Thursday, November 3rd.
The dinner – The Glitter Ball Dance Off – saw eight amateur dancers from Manchester’s legal and professional sectors paired with expert performers to form a dancing couple who performed in front of a panel of judges for a chance to win one of the night’s coveted trophies. Prya Boodhoo and Leanne Martin represented Kings Chambers in the competition, and although they weren’t crowned winners, they received glowing feedback from the judges which reflected the hard work and commitment they showed in the run up to the event.
Liz Bamber, charity manager and founder at Headway Preston and Chorley, said: “With cuts to statutory services, fundraising events like “The Glitter Ball Dance Off” have never been more important when it comes to helping us to fund much-needed services for those we work with.  We are really grateful for all the support JMW, our volunteer dancers and judges provided us with”.
