Gerard McDermott KC and Toby Coupe were instructed by Dan Herman, Charlotte Foster and Varsha Chandrasegaran of Stewarts, to act on behalf of an incredible young woman in her early twenties, who sustained a life-changing spinal cord injury when her car was struck by a stolen vehicle as she drove home from work.
Following an unsuccessful mediation, the claim was ultimately settled for £23 million + provisional damages for the risk that the Claimant might in the future develop syringomyelia, causing a serious deterioration in her physical condition.
