Women in Planning Yorkshire which launched on 22nd November was a sell-out event after much anticipation.
Over 100 Planning professionals at all stages of their careers attended a networking event at Dirty Martini in Leeds to promote the newly formed network.
The launch event was co-sponsored by Kings Chambers and leading commercial property firm CBRE.
The group aims to champion diversity within the industry and promote gender equality. The Women in Planning network events are not exclusively for women. The network welcomes all involved in the profession – private, public sector, academics, third sector or students.
Constanze Bell, Planning Barrister at Kings Chambers and Committee Member for the Yorkshire branch said:
“The Yorkshire branch is now up and running thanks to a fantastic launch event”.
Alison Mackay, Senior Planner at CBRE Leeds, Co-founder of Women in Planning Network and Committee Member for the Yorkshire branch said:
“We are overwhelmed by the positive response and interest from people all over the region in joining the network”.
The launch event was covered in the business section of the Yorkshire Post.
