Eric Owen successfully represented Bury MBC in resisting proposals for a major Anaeorobic Digestion Plant at Fletcher Bank Quarry, Ramsbottom on Green Belt and amenity grounds in the first decision on Anaerobic Digestion made by the new government following recovery of the decision by the Secretary of State shortly before the General Election 2015. This decision is helpful also in relation to the inter-relationship between the planning and the environmental regimes.
