On 24 January 2023, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS) published the draft Statutory Code of Practice on Dismissal and Re-engagement. The Code is based on the Acas Guidance document ‘Making changes to employment contracts – employer responsibilities’ – published in November 2021, but will be issued as a Statutory Code of Practice under section 203 of the Trade Union and Labour Relations (Consolidation) Act 1992.
