The High Court (Mr Justice Hayden) has authorised Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital to treat a 13 month old child with haemodialysis, without which she will die. This was supported by Manchester City Council and her Guardian, but was contrary to the wishes of her parents. The case was heard in open court, with the press present.
Simon Burrows, instructed by Paul Allerston and Amy Clarke of Hill Dickinson LLP acted for the Hospital.
