Constanze Bell addresses Institute of Licensing North West on Child Sexual Exploitation and the Licensing Regime.

On 14 June 2017 Constanze Bell delivered a presentation to the IOL NW on Child Sexual Exploitation: Key Considerations for the Licensing Practitioner. The talk focused on the new definition of CSE in the recently released (February 2017) government guidance ‘Child Sexual Exploitation Definition and Guidance for Practitioners, Local Leaders, and Decision Makers working to Protect Children from Child Sexual Exploitation‘ and identifying practical steps for licensing authorities to tackle CSE.

The talk is particularly relevant in view of the Government’s ‘Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation Progress Report‘ (February 2017) which reviewed progress made since the March 2015 publication of the ‘Tackling Child Sexual Exploitation‘ report which set out an ambitious programme of work to address on a national scale failures seen in Rotherham and elsewhere and brought to light by Professor Alexis Jay, Dame Louise Casey and others.
