We are delighted to report that Chambers has again supported the ‘Wood Street Mission Christmas Project’ as our chosen Christmas Charity. The Mission’s aim is to ensure that any child affected by poverty in Manchester and Salford receives a new toy on Christmas Day.

Wood Street Mission’s oldest project has been offering local kids toys and treats for Christmas since they were founded in 1869.  They also want to ensure that the families they support have some extra items in their cupboard so they can enjoy a festive meal to celebrate the Christmas holidays.

Last year they distributed new toys and gifts to 4,516 local children, all of whom are affected by poverty.  2,651 local families each received a Christmas food hamper.  This was their largest ever Christmas Project to date. All at Kings Chambers have been committed to raising money to donate toys, food and gifts to this very worthwhile cause in the hope that this year, they can provide even more for families in need.

The mission co-ordinates many projects throughout the year. For further information about the Wood Street Mission and the good work that they do please click here.
