Beverley specialises in competition law, sports law, regulatory investigations, public procurement, and consumer and digital regulation. Her practice encompasses both contentious and advisory work, with a particular focus on complex regulatory and market-based disputes.
Beverley holds a PhD in competition law and has substantial experience at both enforcement and advisory level. She previously served as Head of Unit for Antitrust Investigations for a national competition authority, where she led complex investigations into alleged infringements of competition law, including cartel conduct, abuse of dominance and Phase 2 merger investigations.
Beverley has also worked as a specialist competition advisor at a tier 1 corporate law firm in Dublin, advising on EU and domestic competition matters across multiple sectors. Her experience includes merger control, State aid, public procurement, abuse of dominance and antitrust, including one of the European Commission’s earliest investigations into alleged labour market collusion.
She is also the founder of the European League of Sports Antitrust, an organisation that brings together leading practitioners and academics working in competition law and sport, and is a regular speaker at international conferences on competition law and sports regulation.

Bev has sports law experience advising on competition law and governance issues across the sector, with particular experience in athlete-centric matters. Her work includes matters involving the regulatory, competition law, and contractual frameworks that shape athletes’ participation in sport.
Beverley has been appointed to the England Boxing Disciplinary Panel for a three-year term from October 2026.
Recent Work
Bev is well placed to assist with matters arising under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024, drawing on her wider competition law experience and understanding of market regulation. Her experience includes work at a European NCA, supporting preparations for the introduction of the Digital Markets Act and Digital Services Act. She has a particular interest in matters at the intersection of competition law, consumer protection, digital markets and regulatory enforcement.
Bev has experience in public procurement matters, including advising tendering operators when challenging procurement processes and advising contracting entities on the design of competition law-compliant procurement procedures. She also advises on the identification and assessment of potential bid-rigging issues.

Advising a number of suppliers, both as junior and sole counsel, on potential challenges to procurement award decisions in the transport sector.
Bev has regulatory investigations experience from both public enforcement and private practice perspectives, including conducting antitrust investigations as Head of Unit for Antitrust Investigations at an NCA, and defending clients in regulatory investigations. She advises on investigatory strategy in complex regulatory matters. She also has experience advising on the design and implementation of complaints and investigation processes for a sector regulator.
